Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet unveiled
The mother of all Gs
Set to debut in Geneva next month, Mercedes-Maybach has already unveiled the G650 Landaulet ahead of its first public appearance. Wether or not the leaks had anything to do with the early unveiling is something we'll never know, what we do know is what the car will look like, and we get technical data!
Landaulet vehicles have a long tradition at the Stuttgart-based car maker.
And technical data is something damn interesting for the Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet, as it offers something unparalleled. Both in size and power does this car speak to the imagination, as the car has grown 67 centimeter in length, and is the first 'squared' Class with a 630hp 6-liter V12. Being a 'squared' version, the G650 Landaulet's portal axles also offer nearly half a meter of ground clearance. All this still comes with the luxury associated with Maybach, as the gallery shows.
Being so unparalleled does make the first-ever Maybach G Class a difficult businesscase, that difficult that only 99 units will be built Magna Steyr in Graz, Austria. They'll be hitting the roads (or savannas) in autumn this year, primetime for safaris apparently.
