Viper ACR is shreading lap records

When Dodge decided to build a successor to the previous generation Viper ACR it only had 1 objective. Be quicker than the previous generation to beat the crap out of European cars once again. This seemed not as easy as it looked since the previous American Club Racing car holds the nr. 7 spot of fastest laps on the ring.Well I must've say they outperformed themselves with the new ACR. It's generating more than 900 kg's of downforce at top speed and 550 kg's of downforce at 240 kph and pulling 2.0 g's during cornering. But all these figures don't say a thing until you take them to a track and that's exactly what they did.Dodge has been recording laps all around the United States hunting for the fastest lap times and the results are amazing.

It broke 13 US track lap records, yes 13 and it is a full 1,2 seconds faster than the Porsche 918 around the Laguna Seca race track. Individual videos of the Viper ACR track laps can be found here along with the lap list here. Now the only thing that's left to do is taking the Viper ACR to the Green Hell and smash that lap time as well? What do you think? Will it do a sub-7 minute lap? Let us know down below.
