Renault Facelifts Twingo To A New Level Of Cute
The French car maker revealed its mid-cycle facelift for the Twingo and its as funky as ever.
The new Twingo promises to be more fun and more sophisticated than ever before. Both on the inside and outside went through a good facelift. The most notable change is in the front bumper which is a lot sleeker than before but also makes the Twingo a lot more cute.
The car still features the same rear-mounted engine configuration as before giving it the smallest turning circle in its segment. A new mid range SCe 75 petrol engine with 75 hp and 95 Nm's. This should provide a healthy balance between fuel consumption and fun driving.
The TCe 95 now offers a new dual-clutch EDC which Renault claims is unique in this segment.
The ride height has been lowered by 10 mm to reduce its drag coefficient and increase fuel efficiency.
Inside Renault shows once more that they are king in utilizing the limited space you have. The front passenger seat can be folded giving you a loading space of 2.31m in a car that's 3.61m long.
The center console gets a revamp and gains some new functionalities. An adjustable holder can either set down a smartphone or a cup. As standard you'll be able to use your smartphone as a multimedia display thanks to the free R&Go app providing you with various displays for navigation, music or car telemetry.
And if you go for the EASY LINK multimedia system you'll get a 7-inch screen with standard integrated Apple Carplay and Android Auto.
Customisation is something Renault is really advertising with the new Twingo. Six exterior colors help set your Twingo's exterior more apart with various decals available.
On the inside you have the option of selecting 3 different trim finishes for the dashboard and the steering wheel. And to give it the final touch there's a few different stitching options available for the seats.
The new Twingo looks fresher than ever but there's still one thing everyone's hoping for. A new Twingo RS.
