Project One Horsepower 'Confirmed': 1020hp Promising Insane Power To Weight Ratio

Jup, that's the playing field of the infamous Koenigsegg One:1

A while back we already roamed the internet for days to round up all the information we could find about the Project One but as always, more information drips in while the launch crawls closer. This time round the Mercedes-AMG Project One horsepower figure has hit the web via Automobile.

Power for Mercedes-AMG's birthday present comes in at 1020 horsepower in total, its V6 pushing out 748 and the 4 electric engines offer an output of 408hp. Sadly no torque numbers yet but the 4 electric engines are a surprise, and so is the relatively low output of the the F1 V6. Earlier Mercedes-AMG announced an impressive durability for the road use of their engine, almost half the output of the racing-trim explains it though. Leaving room for deduction that their initial plan to use just one electric engine just wouldn't suffice for the business case.

Just thousands of other facts about the Mercedes-AMG hypercar should pop up in the next months, but knowing the Project One horsepower figure sure is one of the most relevant. Why? Size (and therefore numbers) matter, just imagine what this thing can do with the projected weight of 1 metric ton and this horsepower output. Exactly: madness.
