Lamborghini Urus prototype spied | Debut set for Shanghai

Time to milk that fat cow

Months have gone by without a single word about the Lamborghini Urus, the car hasn't really been a 'hot topic' since it launched in 2012. Recent news included a fake prototype that was spotted and there was some news about the engines it would use. The Urus was sliding out of the collective consciousness, only to come back in full force today.

GTspirirt claims to have confirmation that the car will bedut in Shanghai, news followed by more news as a legit prototype caught on camera. That may seem a bit suspicious and it frankly is. Lamborghini has high hopes for the Urus and wants to ship around 3500 of them a year. They're only going to sell these things like mad if they build up the anticipation, and that's exactly what this is: marketing.

GTspirit also report that pre-production models will hit the road in April (we can't wait to catch one on the Nürburgring) to finish up the development process. Right on que with the rumored unveiling in April.
