Huayra Roadster unveiled | Pagani at its best

Valentine what?

Not many people look forward to the 14th of February, at least none that I know of, the guys over at Pagani probably were this year but for a whole other reason. A damn good one though, as the Pagani Huayra Roadster was finally unveiled by the brand, a car that they call "the most complicated project we have ever undertaken." Behold the complex beauty first, then we'll get to the facts.

For some brands a roadster is a roadster, for Pagani it's a whole different world. A unique body hugs the Huayra Roadster, from a new front bumper to the aero details covering the rear lights, it gets the full works. It's more than just fancy things like a transparent Targa roof though, it's beneath the carbon weave skin of the Roadster what really stuns.

Peak power from the V12 now comes in at 764 metric horsepower, pushing the carbo-titanium based Roadster to speeds undisclosed by the brand. But where the standard Huayra already dips below the 3-second mark, the Roadster is undoubtedly quicker due to it weighing a 126 kilograms LESS than that car. No fancy new transmission though, it still channels its force through a 7-speed sequential.

Pagani shows its identity with this car, clearly distinguishing itself from competition in the likes of the tech-crazed Koenigsegg. The Roadster is a combination of pinnacle craftsmanship and technical excellence. One that will be shown at the upcoming GIMS.
