Honda Project 2&4 concept has 212 hp heart
Another day, another release of info about concepts and models to come. See only a glimpse of this concept and you can conclude that this Project 2&4 by Honda should thrill anyone to the bone and if you’d be seated any lower, you would be scraped to the bone.
The car is positioned to resemble the brand's RA272 Formula 1 racer from the 1960s, deriving the overall design and livery from it for the Project 2&4 concept. Other things of the brand’s DNA have found their way into this concept, the bike engine being one of them. Being mid-mounted the V4 delivers 212 horsepower at a whopping 13.000 rotations a minute. It switches gears via 6-speed transmission that uses a dual clutch set up. The entire package weighs in at just 450 kilograms. One can only dream of what this car would be like to drive, weighing this little.
Project 2&4 dreams
Concept are like dreams, they rarely come true. Rarely, as the world could use a Ariel Atom or KTM Xbow rival. Honda is on a roll with their performance-orientated models and you can never know what just might happen. It’s very unlikely however, looking at things like safety regulations this car could never be road legal. If you want to see the Project 2&4 the IAA will probably be the only chance you’ll get to see it up close in Europe.
