When a car can hit a hundred in just 3.5 seconds, has a driftmode and carries a twin-turbo V8 around you'll probably be thinking about some exotic like a Ferrari. Well, this time round we're talking about a freaking wagon. A car that carries families around. And dogs. Begone Audi RS6, the brand new 2017 AMG E63 Estate has claimed the throne.Mercedes-AMG is an exception, when it comes to their flagship models, if you compare the brand with Audi Sport and BMW M. Those brands do offer similar products, the Audi RS6 and BMW M5, but stick to one chassis-variant and to one continent. Mercedes-AMG launched the sedan of the E63 last year in October and now they throw in the wagon to top it off, but it doesn't stop there though. Multiple continents will get to enjoy driftmode in the 2017 AMG E63 Estate.
In terms of performance and its drivetrain the AMG E63 Estate doesn't differ from its sedan-shaped sibling (Video here). It comes in both AMG-flavors on offer, not counting the E43 Estate in this one, and that means a 571 horsepower E63 and a 612 horsepower E63 S. It takes just 3.5 seconds for the E63 S to hit a hundred and just a tenth of a second longer for the non-S E63. They'll be unleashed onto the road this June, plenty of time to decide what chassis variant to choose from.
