First motorshow attendance as press: IAA video

We from Car Journalism are relatively new in the journalistic world, so attending Europe’s largest motorshow during the press days was a whole new experience for us.

But what are the IAA press days? Simply, press and customers invited by the manufacturers are allowed to see the motorshow a few days before it officially opens for the general public. This means that the halls are a lot less crowed, you’ll get closer to all the cars and all the important people from the business are represented.

The first day was overwhelming with us trying to find out how things work during these days, almost every door opens when you show you’re from the press. It does look cool but it has its downsides: if you look at ‘the big guys’, you see them sweating and hauling along all of their heavy gear. Due to that, there are a lot of them who will get frustrated because you’re there for the same reason as them. Overall it was a positive experience with lots of interesting conversations and new experiences.
