Lanzante keeps promise, brings P1 LM to 'Ring'

Remember when Lanzante boss Dean said they'd bring the P1 LM to the Nurburgring? Well, they just did and the car looks epic over there.

Earlier this year the McLaren P1 LM was announced, it would be a collbartion between McLaren and Lanzante Motorsport. A series of 5 cars were announced and one prototype used for development purposes. Funny fact; the prototype will be the only P1 LM in grey.

"We’ve seen what the road car is capable of there and we’ve got simulations of what our car can do.” Dean

Lanzante announced that they would bring the P1 LM prototype to the 'Ring' during the development-phase and that caused quite a buzz. As Dean said that, if circumstances would allow it, a record attempt run could be made. Since they showed up this late in the season, with circumstances far from ideal, there's no way they could have set a record though.

With better weather the McLaren P1 LM has everything it takes if one looks at its credentials. Engine output is a 1000 metric horsepower, it weighs 60 kilograms less and has 40 percent more downforce than the P1 GTR. Best thing is the F1 seats to accommodate for the massive balls a person must have to drive this thing flat out. So no, we still don't know how quick a McLaren P1 can go around the Nurburgring. Damn it!
