Jeep unleashes the 707 hp Grand Cherokee Trackhawk

Finally a kitty that is able to put down power to all four wheels. The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is your ultimate 707 hp SUV that can tow 3.265 kg's.

We all saw it coming, the top of the line and bonkers Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. A supercharged 6.2L Hemi V8 powered SUV that's ready to kick some butt. What we didn't know was in what shape it would come. Would it have limited power like the RAM Rebel TRX? Or would Jeep go bonkers and make it a RWD only SUV?

Well I’m happy to see that it’s neither of those. The Grand Cherokee Trackhawk features the same 707 hp that comes out of the Hellcat block. The only thing that dropped is the torque due to a different exhaust routing (not that you should worry since it only dropped from 880 Nm’s to a mere 875 Nm’s).
The powertrain is AWD and that means this is the first Hellcat powered FCA product that will actually be able to put its power down without burning up the tires every 5 seconds. The eight-speed has been strengthened and so have the half shafts and prop shaft. The Jeep, contrary to its Dodge siblings weighs a full 450 kg’s more.

More weight isn’t really the problem when you look at its performance: 0-100 in 3.5 seconds and pulls 0.88 G on the skid pad. It’s also capable of towing 3265 kg without any issue.

On the looks, there’s not much to distinguish it from a ‘regular’ SRT Jeep. The biggest difference is the quad exhaust. Other differences are the massive brakes and wheels, the absence of the fog lights (turned into an air intake) and a few ‘supercharged’ and ‘Trackhawk’ badges. That’s about it.

No news on pricing yet, we're expecting something around the 80.000$ mark which is a steal for a car like this Tebut is expected in a few days when the New York Autoshow starts.
