Huayra BC is here, officially
The tease was long, but the wait was even longer for the latest creation Pagani has been revealed; the Huayra BC is here and its worth your attention.
The Huayra BC is the first hardcore Huayra to roll out of the Pagani factory in Italy, a car that follows in line with its ancestors like the Pagani Zonda R and the Zonda Cinque. Mostly focused towards being a lightweight hypercar, the company claims that the Huayra BC is not just a restyling but a complete overhaul.
Huayra BC
The Huayra has had a very extensive rework for it to wear the letters 'BC' behind its name, very big. Weighing in at 1215 kilograms, the Huayra BC is pushed around by a 750 horsepower configuration of the AMG V12 used by Pagani. A reduction of a 135 kilograms and power increase of 50 horsepower compared to the base model. It didn't stop there as the transmission has been changed to an automated manual gear box setup with 7 gears and carbon fiber synchronizers to shift more quickly. Combine the new transmission with the new diff and you already add up to a 40% weight reduction on these parts. Further along the powertrain the Huayra BC now uses a LeMans derived drive shaft setup which according to Pagani has an unmatched efficiency.
To guide the new potency the chassis has also seen modification on its end. Now hosting a new stiffer suspension which weighs 25% less than the one used on the regular Huayra. Also potent is the new braking system as it is developed with a new proprietary manufacturing technology that further reduces the unsprung weight. That stopping power is transferred to the road via P Zero Corsa tires in 255/30ZR20 and 355/25ZR21 sizes.
"incorporating for the first time in the history of supercars, active aerodynamics."
ESP
Last tweaks done to the Huayra BC were done to the electronic stability program, the aero (which is something special) and the interior haven’t been left untouched to top it all of.Electronic stability and modern supercars are a happy couple, but thing can always be improved and broadened. Broadened in the fashion of a new ‘track’ setting in the ESP settings. The active aero on the Huayra BC has been further optimized to cancel the effect of lift on the body during dynamic use. Also new is the rear wing on the Huayra BC is a new feature, designed to maximize downforce while not disrupting the recognizable shape of the Huayra. Inside the shell of the BC the passengers find themselves in the same cockpit with basically more carbon fiber added. We’ll hopefully rest our rears in this car the first of March during Geneva, keep an eye on our social media channels for live coverage of the show and the final performance figures.
