Honda Civic Type-R in various flavors
Honda has decided to make multiple tastes of their hottest Civic. The Honda Civic Type-R will be even more hardcore or just more mature.
The "basic" Honda Civic Type-R with his big spoiler and 3 exhaust-tips will still be available. His 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder drops all 320 hp and 400 Nm torque on the front wheels, giving it a 0-100 km/h in 5,8 seconds. The 2 new editions will get the same power output.
Honda Civic Type-R Limied Edition
The first of the two is a limited edition especially for Europe produced. The 100 pieces lose 47 kg thanks to ditching the infotainment system, airconditioning and insulation material in the roof, dashboard, front bumper and tailgate. Wrapping the new 20-inch BBS-rims in Michelin cup 2-tires should help to reduce the "0-100 km/h"-time by 0,1 second. The car will hit corners harder thanks to a better damping and steering system.
It will be pretty easy to recognize the car thanks to its "Sunlight Yellow"-color. The roof, side-mirrors and airscoop in the hood receive a black contrast color. While the interior gets red seats and red Alcantara details in the steering wheel. Fashion blunder?
Honda Civic Type-R Sport Line
We can best compare it with the Porsche 991.2 GT3 Touring. You still get the power and excitement, but without the extravagant spoiler. The car is more subtle and gets more insulation for less noise. This time Honda chose 19-inch dark rims with Michelin Pilot Sports 4S-tires.
