GIMS 2K19 is in full swing and Volvo is electrifying the party with a slightly unexpected move called the Polestar 2.
Another creation from the North has arrived, called the Polestar 2 it is a different move to the first product under that name. How different? Well, there's no more hybrid setup as the number two is powered by electricity alone. In addition, it is a car for the masses rather than a flagship.
The Polestar 2 is basically a direct assault on the Tesla Model 3. It fits the bill in every way possible: power, range, price and even the business model has a similar setup. As the more luxurious editions of around 60k in euros, will be available first. These will feature premium stuff like a panoramic roof and way too price audio.
For the powertrain Volvo will offer a 78 kWh battery pack that comes with a claimed range of 500 km. Less if you use the full 408 HP and 660 Nm. But launching to a hundred in just 5 seconds is so damn tempting.
