A whole new world, Ferrari releases the GTC4Lusso

No this isn't Aladdin's theme song, Ferrari has just released the covers off the replacement of the FF called the GTC4Lusso.

Only judging by the name we can see this is not just your typical facelift you'd expect. Ferrari has gone trough great extends with the improvement of the FF. And although some may argue it doesn't look good on press photos, bear in mind that Ferrari still struggles to lay down convincing press photos.Ferrari describes the GTC4Lusso (yes that's written without a space just like the F12berlinetta) as a "major evolution of the sporting Grand Tourer concept". Building upon what the FF was, the GTC4Lusso makes up for an engineering masterpiece. It's most prominent feature might be the four wheel steering you'd find in the F12tdf but a reworked version to accompany the four wheel drive. Ferrari states "it makes an exceptionally versatile car in every kind of grip condition". As with the lineup on current Ferrari's, the GTC4Lusso features technologies like the fourth generation Side Slip Control, the magnetorheological dampers and the E-Diff.It also packs some more oumpf through a reworked version of the 6.2L V12. Power is up from 660 hp to 690 hp accompanied by 700 Nm's of torque making the sprint to 100 kph in 3,4 seconds up till a top speed of 334 kph. For those who love Ferraris but care about the environment, emissions have been reduced by as much as 30%.

A transformation in design

As you may have seen, the new design has not gone unnoticed, it's a very radical step away from it's predecessor and a step towards the design of current Ferrari models and those of the future. The front looks aggressive and influenced by the 488 and F12tdf bringing along the aerodynamic advantages of the new styling with a much smaller drag coefficient. Moving to the rear there seems to be a hint of the 456 GT Venice in there as well. Finally the interior went through a complete overhaul with the most prominent change being the 10-inch touchscreen and a more compact steering wheel.Overall the car looks decent on these images as discussed with the CJ team but we'll be looking forward to bringing you more pictures of it in real life when we hit the Geneva Motorshow in a few weeks. Until then, let us know what you think of it down below in the comments!
