Dutch website AutoBlog.nl has discovered something; 2016 Audi RS3 brake problems that is. And we're not just talking about a little squeak. No, we're talking about a defect that makes you want to sell the car after only a few thousand kilometers. After receiving an email from a reader about the problems he was having with this 2016 Audi RS3 and the dealership, the digging began.

Pre-Braking

The 2016 Audi RS3 brake problems consist of a heavy vibration of the disks on the front wheels. Where the current-gen RS3 doesn't use a differential between on the front axle, it simulates this using the brakes. Torque vectoring that is. To keep the brakes in optimal condition for the diff-simulation to work, the car uses a system called 'pre-braking'. This system softly engages the brakes to keep the disks clean.It is generally assumed at this point that the pre-braking system is the cause of the problems.
